Personalized Health Advice
Today, I'm going to be talking about Dr. Oz, and more specifically, how Dr. Oz is really changing the landscape in terms of people looking at the nutritional supplements they're taking. However, I'd like to take one step back and say this. I think Dr. Oz is really very knowledgeable. I like his show, I've seen it a couple of times. He makes a zillion times more money than I do, and he has no effect on my business, so I don't have any issues with Dr. Oz.
The thing that I have is that I have discussed with probably 10, 20 or so people about how they saw something on Dr. Oz or another show, and that there is this product that... (fill-in-the-blank)...increases metabolism, helps you lose weight, or can help you get more energy. This happens in a majority of instances. When I hear it, I'd like to take a step back and say, "Ok, well, what do you know about it?"
A common question regarding healthy foods is whether paleo, vegan, or vegetarian better for you? How can you optimize one's health regardless of the type of diet you choose to follow?
It seems to me, that "diets" don't work, so what does? In this week's episode of my video blog, I delve into the question of how to optimize gut health by looking at the importance of the foods or how you digest the foods.
