are you interested in discovering the newest probiotic creation of
jared's Propops?
Why fermented granola is the best homemade granola.
I'll honestly say that when I first began making my homemade granola, I knew there was a way to make it healthy. There are so many snacks out there (granola especially) that are nothing more than oats, fruits, and spices thrown together.
How exciting it that? Not very to say the least.
But here at Jared's Probiotic and Jared's ProPops, we like to do things far outside of the box. I mean, we've created a probiotic soda, a fermented popsicle, and a honey kombucha that is out of this world. So, fermenting a gluten-free, grain free, probiotic snack was right up our alley.
First, we take 5 kinds of nuts: pecans, walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds, and cashews. Add 3 kinds of seeds: sesame, pumpkin, and sunflower. Mix in shredded coconut with fruits like strawberries, blueberries, or pineapple. Throw in some hemp seeds, chia seeds, and a bit of vegan protein, and you have an absolutely wonderful and one-of-a-kind snack good for all the family.
The best part of our homemade granola recipe? It's geared for people not only who just want a nutritionally dense food, but for those who are always on the go. That's why an NBA team, a baseball team, and a professional basketball club buy it by the pound. They have realized that to have fermented foods are more easy to digest. Easily digestible foods require less work for your body and this, in turn, allows your body to focus on doing what it needs to keep you healthy, strong, and energized. When an athlete consumes foods that take a toll the digestive system, it ultimately can actually do the opposite of why you consume foods in the first place, to be active and energetic.
(Note: I've been a guest on a couple of podcasts that explains why this occurs, and why digestion is the most important of athletic performance. You can listen to one of them on the Dizruns podcast or the Paleo Magazine's national podcast).
Based on current demand, we can't seem to keep this in stock, but if you have an opportunity to pick some up or order it online, you'll notice the texture is softer, and unlike the hard, crunchy granolas found in the supermarket. This is simply because my probiotics have already begun to digest the sugars and starches. So if it has already started be broken down, imagine what happens when you eat it? Your body receives almost 80-90% of the nutrients from the whole foods in it.
That's a win-win.
We can't wait for this to be taken nationwide. With the uniqueness of the product and the tastiness of it, we firmly believe this will be the new way to make foods. Pick up yours today. And if you like this idea, hit the "Like" button below to show me you like the idea of fermented foods.
