Hydration From Foods
Did you know that water can be eaten? When it comes to whole foods like fresh fruits and vegetables, within it, there is water that can be eaten.
The author of the book “The science of cell Water” wrote that the water you drink “will go right through you,” and take any nutrition with it. Hydration is about the water you preserve and it's no longer about the amount of water you drink. Molecules that facilitate the entry of water into the cells is naturally found in fruits and veggies. This process of cell hydration occurs slowly and lasts longer than simply drinking a glass of water.
So why do I bring this up? Let's make it a movement to start “eating your water” through organic fruits and vegetables.
Most foods do include some water, however plant foods have more, and raw plant foods have even more. Taking it to a healthier level, eating your water with raw fruits and veggies means you'll not only be getting water, but you are also getting a dose of anti-oxidants and fiber. It should be noted that when you cook meals with fruits and vegetables, you are lowering the amount of water content found in the food. So to get the maximum hydration from these ingredients try ingesting them raw, whole, combined or juiced. So how do you go about eating your water? Once you understand that you can get some hydration from foods by eating whole, raw, (and hopefully organic) fruits and vegetables, you'll make a more conscious effort to find out why you should eat your water.
