Raw Vegetables Digestion Problems
Do vegetables help digestion. If someone has issues, the question most want answered is which vegetables do you eat for digestion, raw or cooked?
As mentioned in a previous post, water found in many foods benefit our body not only in keeping us hydrated, but by also helping us with our bowel movements. When our body breaks it down, fresh fruits and vegetables that have a significant water content are perfect foods for our digestive system to utilize for energy. On top of that, they are often the ones that have the most nutritional content and can hydrate our bodies the most.
What about the people who already have digestive issues? What is their approach to eating certain types of foods like raw or uncooked foods they eat? Should it be more raw or should they consider eating a significant portion of cooked foods? Generally, people that have indigestion already, should consider eating more foods that have been heated. Why?
It's not that raw foods are bad, but the people with digestion issues don't have enough digestive power to actually digest raw foods. So when you cook foods, it destroys some of the harder parts of the foods to digest. But if you want to improve your health and get it back into balance, some sacrifices might have to be made. Lastly, it's important to listen and be self-aware about your body. This might mean being more focused on your stools as an indicator of how well your body utilizes the foods you eat in your meals. Raw vegetables can cause digestion problems, and it can be noticed in your bowel movements. And whether vegetables can help you eliminate waste comes down to how much of the nutritional content of those same vegetables your body receives.
