Things You Must Know About How Bacteria Evolves
What is the truth of how bacteria evolves? Bacterial evolution affects everyone differently, and there is big money in knowing how bacteria evolves.
Just like all living things, our microbiome has changed through the centuries, and not necessarily always for the better. You probably wouldn't be too surprised if I said that the makeup of our guts and microbiome is significantly different than what was present in humans 100 centuries ago. As we have evolved physically, our behaviors have evolved as well. This natural evolution has been due in large part to those factors that have been intended to simplify or improve our lives.
Over the centuries, we have made a shift towards becoming more agriculturally proficient and through our decisions to utilize animals for foods and farming. This shift has had an effect on our body composition. The closer we have come to modern day, technology and chemistry have had an even more profound effect on the bacterial makeup of our biomes often times creating more problems than intended.
In that quest to standardize things to improve our efficiency, we've essentially homogenized our guts. We've lost a significant amount of the diversity of our bellies that are needed to help keep it running smoothly and proficiently. Pharmaceutical companies have realized this and a significant amount of them attempt to boost our immunity (i.e. our gut and digestive system) by creating products that add additional bacteria into our bodies. This has led to many consumers becoming confused and unsure as to where to begin. My thoughts are that instead of looking at a particular probiotic or immune building pill or supplement and telling yourself, “this will be the one that makes all the changes I need to my belly”, a better way to look at it would be to say, “Self, I want to biohack my body.” which means that we should not be using science and biology to find that one thing we believe might make all the difference but should use it as a way to change our environments around us and also inside of us so that we have more control over our own biology. This is what is called biohacking. And in order for us to keep up with the evolution of our bacteria, biohacking is that important. There are secrets to how bacteria evolves in our body, and there are very important things you must know about how they evolve. Realizing that they are constantly changing and never stagnant is one of the best mindset shifts we all need if we can continue to become a healthier species ourselves.
