Stomach Inflammation And Anxiety
Why is nutrition the key to fight depression? A strong correlation between nutrition and stress shows there are surprising effects of foods on nutrition.
One of the most underutilized way to address anxiety and depression is through nutrition and how we absorb that nutrition from the foods we eat. The key being nutritious and healthy foods. But what most people don't realize is that the lack of nutrition from foods can cause inflammation in the body, and this inflammation is one of the biggest culprits of depression and anxiety.
The most effective way of minimizing the risk of depression is to reduce the amount of inflammation your body is under. This inflammation can be reduced by supporting your body's ability to “put out fires” ('fires” are what inflammation is) through adequate nutrition with a nutrient-dense diet from various foods.
Although there are many diets that claim and promote inflammation reduce, what has worked best for me is to live on an organic and mostly vegetarian diet that is heavy on herbs, spices, and a significant amount of clean, saturated fats. Eating loads of veggie and superfood greens like spirulina, moringa, and chlorella has also significantly helped my body absorb nutrients more efficiently. Lastly, consuming foods high in omega-3 fats, which are the components that help “put out the fire” of inflammation. Even if you don't have depression, doing everything you can to optimize the nutrients from foods will go a long way towards helping you stabilize mood swings. Is nutrition the best way to eliminate anxiety? I believe that it is. When you have stomach inflammation, it is your body's natural response to create an imbalance in the health of your brain which can lead to anxiety. With more and more nutrition and depression research being tied together, it's easy to see the importance.
