Can Food Combinations Make You Sick?
Does food combining matter? Knowing the foods you eat at one time can affect the digestion of the other foods as well. Is there simple food combining?
The complete digestive process uses many specific kinds of enzymes that digestive specific kinds of foods and specific kinds of meals. Some enzymes thrive and work best in an acidic environment and some work best in an alkaline one.
It's not hard to see that when you combine acids and alkaline together that it can possibly neutralize and stall our digestion, causing a lot of blockage in our bodies. So here's a simple bit of advice. Don't combine starches and proteins, eat fruits on an empty belly and by themselves and that green foods can go with anything.
The bottom line, the less complicated our meals the easier our digestion works having to sort out which foods go where and when. Remember that getting your digestion taken care of is a process and requires a bit of transition. But the starting point is to move away from heavy, complex, cooked meals, like those Thanksgiving meals we all eat a couple of times a year.
