Can Produce Be Toxic?
How do you choose the right produce at the grocery store? Looking at whether to buy organic or conventional, you should ask if organic produce is healthy.
What exactly is your view of organic and natural foods? For most people, it's completely backwards and over the years, the mindset has changed as to what most believe is truly healthy. When it comes to foods, there is a bit of irony in that the foods not covered in pesticides and are actually grown the way nature intended are the foods labeled differently and separated and not the other way around.
Does is seem illogical that foods that are “real foods” but are covered in toxins and pesticides don't have to be labeled as such, and it's the organically grown foods that have the separate stickers and bags to categorize them for checkout? Although there is a small percentage of people that are waking up to the idea of knowing what is in our foods and why organic is better, but that number is growing.
So what are some of the poisons that are added to the foods in the name of preserving them and keeping them looking fresh by the time they make it to the grocery store? How about pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides are just a few things that coat our foods and don't add any health benefits to our bodies. In fact, our bodies view them as toxins. So if you regularly consume foods covered in them, you might be surprised that your body could be in toxic overload. So what will you do about it? The best way is to consume healthy and organic produce. By answering the question whether produce can be toxic, one might decide to spend a bit of time understanding how bad is produce toxicity on their bodies.
