Physical Activity Hydration And Health
How exactly does hydration work? What is the correlation between hydration and it's health benefits and can you get a lot of hydration from foods ?
After we are born, it's been estimated that ¾ of our body is made up of water. Science shows that as we become older, the content of the water in our bodies could inevitably be as low as ½. Why? Our cells lose water as we age and our well being is decided by using our cellular’s potential to maintain water.
Without sufficient water, the elasticity of our skin deteriorates and will become more seen as what we view as typically being “old”: lines across the eyes, wrinkles, and loose skin are all the side effects of it. The great part of this is that if you are one of the people who eat a significant amount of fresh fruits and green vegetables, there may be a significant amount of water in those foods to help hydrate you and your cells. So the fact of eating whole foods like this can not only be nutritious, be give us healthful looking and glowing skin and pores. Unfortunately, most of us don't eat these types of foods religiously or at least enough to satisfy our cells' thirst for hydration, and as a result, many are constantly dehydrated. If you have a tendency to consider your hydration as simply drinking 64 ounces of water daily, then you definitely are missing the point.
I like to explain it like this. If you can think about how water can come from the inside out, imagine those hydrated fruits and veggies as those candies with the juicy explosions of liquid inside them, rather than simply pouring water down our thoughts based on what you read about in a magazine. If you have any type of physical activity, your hydration and health go hand-in-how. So knowing how hydrating fruits and vegetables can be can help us understand how does hydration work in the body.
