Improve Your Standard Of Healthy Living
Where do you begin a journey to better health? If you know now is the time to start your path to health, how do you start a health and fitness journey?
Once that decision has been made, a more in-depth question should be what part of your health should you focus upon in order to achieve better health? I believe a starting point for everyone to actually begin that journey with a priority focusing on your gut health. The first step is actually to start taking a note of how you feel, not only immediately after eating but also the next day and the next day. Because foods play a predominate role in those feelings, whether you know it or not.
I always suggest people start to make changes two weeks at a time. The first being simply to reduce or eliminate processed or sugared foods. Then add soured foods like kimchi, miso, sauerkraut, pickles or kombucha or look to go dairy or caffeine free. Then see if you can eliminate grains. With the ultimate goals is not to find a diet consisting of a dozen foods that you can only eat but actually to allow your body to heal and then find a starting point so that when you add foods back into your diet you'll have a great idea of how it affects you. And you won't believe how much better your body will feel when you stop adding inflammatory foods to your diet.
Can you improve your standard of healthy living by focusing on how you feel after eating? Of course I believe that. Knowing how your body digests foods is important to your overall health and wellness, and looking within your gut and digestion is the first place I'd look to answer the question of where to start your health journey.
