Can Prebiotics Help With Acid Reflux?

What is prebiotic fiber? Is it beneficial to our gut bacteria and digestive health?  In today's episode of the Go With Your Gut Podcast, I look at what I think is a food group that is absolutely vital to better gut health and digestion:  prebiotics and prebiotic foods.  

It seems everyone knows what a probiotic is, but rarely do people mention prebiotics in the same breath.  It's important to know the differences between probiotics and prebiotics simply because one is living bacteria and one is food for that living bacteria.  The old adage "You Are What You Eat" holds true for our gut bacteria too.  If you want to read more, or listen to or download this podcast, follow the link. 
I wondered why and decided to make a 4 minute podcast to reiterate the reasons why, if you don't include prebiotics in your diet, the full benefit of those probiotic pills and supplements will ultimately be wasted.  Take a few minutes to listen, and then begin to look for these at your neighborhood grocery store.  Your gut will thank you.
