Combining Different Foods
Is there something they don't want you to know about food combining? There are many food combinations that are good and food combining is important for your overall health.
I'd like to begin talking about food combining and using the illustration of eating a hamburger and bun, why that could be the cause of your indigestion, gas and bloating. When you eat a hamburger and bun, the protein's secrete digestive enzymes because it needs an acidic environment. Carbohydrates require an alkaline environment secrete digestive enzymes accordingly as well. So releasing those digestive enzymes essentially you can see there's a possibility that they could actually neutralize each other out and slow down digestion. What happens when you slow down digestion?
You can't pass it, it becomes toxic, it putrefies in the gut, gas, bloating, indigestion. All of the problems associated with throwing too many foods into your body at one time.
So what you can do is actually learn how to separate foods out. If you want to eat a hamburger, eat it separate. If you want to eat fruits, eat them separate. Try to minimize the amount of foods that you're throwing into your body at one time to reduce the chances of indigestion and bloating. In this episode of The Mental Minute I look at one of the most popular parts of health that many people are discussing, and that is what is food combining and how does it affect digestion? In 60 seconds, I address whether or not food combining is important for your overall health.
