Proof That Gut Health And Brain Health Are Connected
Why do most fail at fixing their gut health? The reason is because there are little know ways your gut health and brain are connected that must be addressed.
It's important to note we are on the verge of a new frontier of addressing our health, that new frontier being through our gut. If I had my way (or money), I would spend my time dedicated to learning how our gut health is connected to all of the diseases of our immune system or how poor gut health can contribute to a break down of our autoimmunity in general.

The Gut And Brain Connection Is Strong
How does the gut bacteria in our body affects the brain and body? One always affects the other; it's interesting how the gut and brain are connected.
If you've been reading this series on inflammation, you'd know how gut health, foods, and brain health are the triumverate of being healthy and happy. So how does out diet (or lack of good digestion) actually contribute to the illness of our brain? Being Inflamed Is Good For Our Body
It's important to know why inflammation can be good for you. Normally, to reduce our bodily stress, most ask what can I take for inflammation in my body?
Chronic inflammation physiologically does significant damage to our brain when not kept in check. But there is a fine line between allowing the body to reduce inflammation naturally, and then not being able to reduce it at all so that it remains in a chronic state of constantly trying to fight the issues that have been created. So it's important to address inflammation. The Delicate Balance Of Thinking And Probiotics
What exactly is healthy thinking? Is it simply thinking healthy or is it understanding how to walk the fine line of good gut health and good thoughts?
Before we answer that, we should look at how probiotics serve as the foundation from which your brain grows efficiently and how that good bacteria can serve as a protector for your brain as well. Once you understand the relationship between your brain (mental health) and your gut microbiome, you can see how important they are to the other. How The Vagus Nerve Can Help Depression
Why is stimulating the vagus nerve a new component of better mental health? Is this why psychobiotics and the vagus nerve the new health frontier? It seems more treatments of brain disorders can begin in the gut.
In a previous podcast, I explained a new term and really, a “new” type of probiotics that many hadn't heard of before. That term being, “Psychobiotics”. Without going down a rabbit hole or creating a lengthy article, psychobiotics are what you might think of as probiotics, but they perform so much more than the normal gut bacteria we have. Neurons In Your Gut
What is the second brain in the human body? Do we have a brain as powerful as the brain in our head? The second brain is our gut and controls many things.
When we use the term “second brain”, this is a very powerful statement, so t's important to understand how important the gut is (and can be) to our overall health. Taking a step back, we see the body has particular cells that perform particular functions. That's their 24 hour a day job. Stomach Inflammation And Anxiety
Why is nutrition the key to fight depression? A strong correlation between nutrition and stress shows there are surprising effects of foods on nutrition.
One of the most underutilized way to address anxiety and depression is through nutrition and how we absorb that nutrition from the foods we eat. The key being nutritious and healthy foods. But what most people don't realize is that the lack of nutrition from foods can cause inflammation in the body, and this inflammation is one of the biggest culprits of depression and anxiety. What Happens To Depression If You Exercise Everyday?
Do you know how much exercise reduces stress hormones? More research is coming out that the best way to combat anxiety is with physical exercise.
In previous articles, I've addressed how being mindful or prayerful as well as simply being outside can significantly reduce the effects of anxiety and possible depression. Now it's time to look at the third non-meditative way to address it; that being good old-fashioned exercise and physical activity. Gut Biology And Health
What is the science behind how the gut works? How it functions & its importance is fascinating & necessary in understanding what can we learn from the gut.
There are so many interesting things about how our gut microbiome works in our bodies, from helping us to digest foods, to strengthening our immune system, to helping us regulate our mood and hormones. But how does it all work in tandem? Are We Feeding Ourselves Sickness?
What's the issue with GMO food nutrition? More and more foods are deemed unhealthy. Can we say that processed foods are an experiment that has failed?
It's my believe that eating altered or GMO foods can actually be starving our bodies and be moving forward towards making us sicker society. This movement towards producing a perfect food is actually the tip of the iceberg with the majority of information being unknown and below the surface when we're trying to understand how the altering and tampering of foods might be useful to our bodies. |
