Combinations Of Gut Microbiome
Do we all have the same gut dna? If we are to healthy as an individual, we should know how much does our gut biome differ from others and why it matters.
Just like your DNA, the population and make up of your gut bacteria is unique from everyone else. It's as unique as your fingerprint. There have been estimates of the amount bacteria found in your gut ranges from a trillion to tens of trillions in various combinations in any of the thousands of species that scientists currently know about. In a typical “healthy” gut microbiome, a body should have at least 85% good bacteria with the remaining bad bacteria.
Can Food Combinations Make You Sick?
Does food combining matter? Knowing the foods you eat at one time can affect the digestion of the other foods as well. Is there simple food combining?
The complete digestive process uses many specific kinds of enzymes that digestive specific kinds of foods and specific kinds of meals. Some enzymes thrive and work best in an acidic environment and some work best in an alkaline one.
Raw Vegetables Digestion Problems
Do vegetables help digestion. If someone has issues, the question most want answered is which vegetables do you eat for digestion, raw or cooked?
As mentioned in a previous post, water found in many foods benefit our body not only in keeping us hydrated, but by also helping us with our bowel movements. When our body breaks it down, fresh fruits and vegetables that have a significant water content are perfect foods for our digestive system to utilize for energy. On top of that, they are often the ones that have the most nutritional content and can hydrate our bodies the most.
Can Digestive Illness Be Controlled?
How is possible to keep our digestive system healthy? In fact, what exactly does digestive health mean exactly? Is it complicated or easily addressed?
It's really important to know how important your digestive health really is. It's essentially the core and the foundation as to where everyone should look if they are wanting to start their own health journey or cure an illness. What Are Antioxidants And Why Are They Good For You?
What foods are high in antioxidants? Knowing the most nutritious ones to eat is crucial for health and understanding why antioxidants are good for you.
It's important to know what antioxidants are, and I'll provide you with a different perspective as to where and how you can get those antioxidants to inevitably protect yourself against those free radicals that we discussed in the previous podcast episode.
Regulating Hunger And Satiety
Have you ever wondered how to reduce overweight and obesity? I know, silly question, but you'd be surprised at how many people want to achieve it but don't know where to begin. Do you have a healthy eating plan with snacks and how can you prepare your body to regulate your blood sugar throughout the day.
Are There New Nutritional Guidelines?
The old food pyramid was wrong. In fact it still is wrong. What was wrong with the old food guide pyramid? For decades people have tried to follow it, but as a society, we've only becoming unhealthier. So, I'm going to be giving you part one of Jared's top 10 nutritional guidelines that you could use going forward.
Now, before you decide not to listen to my podcast, I want you to throw everything that you've ever thought about nutrition out the window; food pyramid, low-fat, low-sugar, throw it all out the windows. We're going to look at things differently.
Number one, eat well for tomorrow, not specifically just for today. What do I mean by that? Is that what you eat today is going to effect not only you, but your future generations to come, think about that.
Should You Eat The Same Foods?
Where do you get your nutrition, and when it comes to getting the most nutrition, is there a way how to eat different foods? This ultimately comes down to food diversity.
We could probably say our standard of living has increased over the past, let's say, a hundred years. Unfortunately, that's not reflected in our nutrition and the way that we get nutrition from the foods that we eat. We spend less money proportionally-wise on whole foods today than we did, let's say, 50 years ago. And that connection that we have with foods and the foods that we consume is getting weaker and weaker by the day. Food diversity is down, illnesses are up. There has to be some sort of correlation there.
Nutrition Guidelines Don't Apply To You
Have you ever wonder why nutrition is wrong or that the information you find on the internet doesn't apply to you? The biggest mistakes of nutrition facts is exactly that: not everything you read applies to you.
I'd really like to begin a discussion about the generalization, or really the oversimplification of the dietary guidelines find on the interwebs today. The biggest fallacy known to mankind is thinking that the nutritional information that you hear about or read about applies 100 percent to you. Rarely, if ever, it does, and it's a good starting point, it's never a good ending point because we're all completely different.
These podcasts are an extension of me sharing what I believe is the source to be healthy emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually: a strong gut.
