It really doesn't matter if you break it down by philosophy or by what you may have read in the newspaper, it comes down to whether or not the foods you eat help you get to an ideal weight.

For those of you with heartburn, indigestion, or acid reflux, you know that it can be painful and difficult to control. The way most people handle it is by first of all, assuming that it is caused by the body producing too much stomach acid and therefore, over-the-counter medications or Tums will solve the problem.
So how do you go about solving the issue, or is it even solvable? It's not unusual for pregnant women to have a severe bout of acid reflux, but is it caused by the same thing in everyone else?
