What Does It Mean To Be Holistically Healthy?
Is there a way to look at holistic nutrition as a foundation for a healthy lifestyle? The bottom line is that is formed around "healthy eating" habits and nutrition, but how do we do that? I'm going to be discussing the second pillar of health necessary to be holistically healthy, and that's being nutritionally or digestively strong.
Whether we realize it our not, our nutrition is ultimately tied to physical health. I believe it is so critical that it should have it's own pillar and could actually stand alone. Part of this is because getting the full value of nutrition is customized based on each individual's age, sex, activity level, and body chemistry; every is totally different. This in order for us to strengthen this pillar, careful attention should be placed on your diet and that you give specific focus on digestion.
What is the difference between digestion and metabolism and is there a, diet for increasing metabolism in order for you to get into your optimal health?
It's important to know that there is a correlation between digestion, absorption, and metabolism of food. In this episode of The Mental Minute I explain how metabolism is simply a trendy word for digestion, and ultimately that good digestion means good metabolism

Should You Eat The Same Foods?
Where do you get your nutrition, and when it comes to getting the most nutrition, is there a way how to eat different foods? This ultimately comes down to food diversity.
We could probably say our standard of living has increased over the past, let's say, a hundred years. Unfortunately, that's not reflected in our nutrition and the way that we get nutrition from the foods that we eat. We spend less money proportionally-wise on whole foods today than we did, let's say, 50 years ago. And that connection that we have with foods and the foods that we consume is getting weaker and weaker by the day. Food diversity is down, illnesses are up. There has to be some sort of correlation there.
Nutrition And Insulin
How to be proactive about your health. That seems to be how society is heading, or maybe it's not. We should be looking at our health outside the box.
I'd like to discuss nutrition, and really bio hacking nutrition, and how the key to your long term success will be built upon three things. Foods bring people together, it's the source of pleasure. It also serves as the foundation that really can build on anything else that makes this body run. There's a challenge in nutrition, unfortunately, that dualistic approach in saying, "This food is bad, this food is good."
How Can Probiotics Help You Have More Energy?
Are you aware how much digestion increases energy? Although increasing energy is so important, what are 3 additional ways probiotics help your body?
As we go through life, we should always be looking to biohack our body to get it to perform optimally, and this includes adding probiotics to your digestive system. So is possible that probiotics can improve your life? The bottom line is that good digestion increases energy levels, and who doesn't want that?
These podcasts are an extension of me sharing what I believe is the source to be healthy emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually: a strong gut.
