Is it possible to keep our intestines healthy? Ultimately, we want to know how to protect it from bacteria in order to keep our immune system strong.
Probiotics have a mission in our bodies to shield the intestinal barrier from breaking down. They also can effect on how tight of a barrier our intestinal cell wall is, and ultimately whether or not it can and will be impenetrable for bad bacteria and toxins. How effective the probiotics are in holding our intestinal cells together serves as the seal between those cell tissues that can ultimately regulate whether or not molecules can enter the bloodstream. But how is its strength determined?

Now, it's important to note that food allergies have ballooned by over 45% in kids since the mid-nineties. There are numerous theories, and I have tried to hypothesize why. The one gaining the foremost traction stems from the drastic modified food choices kids face today. This change (and not for the better) in modified feeding habits has altered the microbiome composition of a majority of teens.

What happens when you have an allergic reaction to anything? What specifically is your body doing when it has an allergy to antibiotics like pencillin or foods like peanuts?
