Probiotics Battle With Antibiotics
Better gut health requires you to know what antibiotic resistance is. Bacteria resistance and antibiotic resistance are correlated for digestive strength.
Understanding this relationship begins at first understanding how toxicity influences the intestine. One very strong and poisonous invader is antibiotics. Of course, there can be some benefit in taking antibiotics, but believing that they are a cure-all and overuse can do significant damage to our gut health and ultimately our toxicity levels and how much good bacteria flora is in our bodies.
Why is this important? Antibiotics are indiscriminate in what they kill. They destroy both the good and bad bacteria in the body, and they have no ability to choose which living bacteria they'll eliminate. Our digestive tract is a constantly waged war. Good bacteria versus bad bacteria, and because most people don't support their digestion the way they should, antibiotics generally always win. This leads to a catch-22 whereas the body has more bad bacteria than good, a person takes an antibiotic to destroy the bad and also destroys the good and end up right back where they started but with a weaker immune system.
Many people who take antibiotics know that it is important to repopulate their gut with good bacteria or probiotics so end up taking probiotic pills and supplements. However, in order to maximum the potential of probiotics, a deeper understanding and focus on fermented and probiotic foods is often the best course of action. Focusing on the probiotics “battle” with antibiotics is important to your over health and longevity. Once you understand what happens between probiotics and antibiotics, hopefully you'll take more precaution the next time it's recommended you take an antibiotic.
