Nutrition, Gut Health, And Athletic Performance
Is there a best way to use nutrition to improve athletic performance? Getting the most from foods eaten is important to athletes and their gut health.
Most athletes rarely give consideration to their guts, but they should. Why? It is from within their guts and digestion that athletic performance can be improved. This improvement can be large or small, but it can be the difference between crashing and burning or powering through towards the finish line. But there's so much more to it than eating.
What's the key? What causes an athlete to fall short of expectation due to how they feel physically? As it relates to gut health, in most instances it comes from good intentions. Eating "clean" sugars & starches to be used as energy during athletic events is great, but there is a missing component to unlocking that energy. It's important to answer the question of how to improve athletic performance through digestion.
