No One Values Food Anymore
Should we be asking the question are healthy foods really healthy? Society is sick and a reason is knowing why are food allergies more common now.
How has society moved away from actually valuing foods for what they can actually do and are meant to do, nourish our body and our brain. It seems the trend has been heading to making food our enemy, so to speak. Foods sitting on the shelf are no longer nurturing and healing.
What we eat affects every single cell in our body, positively or negatively, but nowadays, we are being presented with what looks like food and is perceived as food, but in truth it's not. Supermarkets are filled with boxes and cans, bags and plastic bottles, all filled with substances that are a burden to the human body, processed and altered, filled with anything from plastic to wood pulp to mold to one of the worst culprits, GMOs or genetically modified organisms. In a nutshell, this means the food has been manipulated using artificial DNA. Now why is this artificially and unnaturally created? That's a discussion for another time, but regardless of whatever the positives someone claims to make on it are, it's not natural or desirable in nature to transfer genetic material between organisms not meant to be combined. So think about that the next time you grab a GMO-filled food.
We should all be looking at the nutrition value of foods. This lack of interest gives us a huge reason why no one values foods anymore. But let's make a change to figure out the worth of our nutrition and make a pact to find out what some foods are really made of and why it's important.
