Good listening skills require constant practice. In order to be more effective communicators, listening and empathetic responding to what other are telling us is paramount.
In this episode of The Mental Minute, I begin to look at how being a good listener in the workplace is important for everyone in order to accomplish goals. Affecting People Around You
Do you think your attitude affects those around you? Is your positivity or negativity affecting those around you. Most people don't realize how contagious your behavior is to those you meet.
Most people have heard the phrase, "You Are What You Eat". But I believe it's much more apropos to say, "You Eat What You Are." What you "spit out" is certainly more important to those people around you than what you put in. ⠀ ⠀ Your words and your actions based on those words should be what counts, not necessarily that you have good thoughts and ideas about doing them. Look at it this way. I'm sure you know plenty of people who are in the fitness/nutrition/health industry that profess and live a "healthy" life, yet gossip, talk s*^t, are rude, inconsiderate, and selfish. But have you ever taken a step back and thought about those people that may regularly have fast food addictions or a weight problem or struggling with their health, yet bring light and kindness and goodness into your life?⠀ What Are The Principles Of Effective Communication?
Are there effective communication tools we can use that are physically health-related in nature? What I mean is that when it comes to our lives, everything is either inflammatory or anti-inflammatory by nature. When it comes to eating and the foods you put in your mouth, by it's very nature, thinks it is beneficial and helpful or is negative. Think about that the next time you eat your next meal.
The same could be said of our lives. It is commonplace to have a signification amount of inflammation surrounding us. In this episode of my podcast, I discuss why internal inflammation can come from our external environment and provide a VERY simple solution to eliminate 99% of negativity in your life. And you don't have to do anything. To listen to or download this podcast, click the link. |
