Do vegetables help digestion. If someone has issues, the question most want answered is which vegetables do you eat for digestion, raw or cooked?
As mentioned in a previous post, water found in many foods benefit our body not only in keeping us hydrated, but by also helping us with our bowel movements. When our body breaks it down, fresh fruits and vegetables that have a significant water content are perfect foods for our digestive system to utilize for energy. On top of that, they are often the ones that have the most nutritional content and can hydrate our bodies the most.

If you were to look at our body from a physiological standpoint, our colon needs a significant amount of hydration to simply move our bowel movements through our digestive system. If you were to read six different articles, you'd probably read about 4 different amounts based on body type, body weight, and activity levels. Knowing that, we then tend to get bogged down in knowing how much hydration the body needs in order to make that happen.
